An old raft guides tale was that Durango had more restaurants per capita then San Francisco and Main Ave is home to many of those restaurants

Durango is home to over 200 restaurants and many value featuring locally grown foods

All the restaurants in Durango are good. One of the best ways to find a good restaurant is to trust your instincts and go explore. I suggest parking downtown and letting yourself find your favorite restaurants. I’ve had the best luck sticking with the locals favorites in the low to moderate price range.

If you are looking for high-end restaurants, a day trip to Telluride may worth the trip.

The assets in Durango are the free and the business that get Durango, know they don’t have to charge a lot for their services.

Durango has often had the illusion of being a high volume tourist town, that illusion can leave locals frustrated. Being kind to locals is one of the best ways to make our list!
